Mark Požlep (born 1981, Slovenia) completed his BA and MA at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana and took an advanced Master in Transmedia at Sint-Lukas in Brussels. He is currently involved in a two-year residential programme at HISK in Ghent. He works in the field of visual art, performance, spatial installations and video.

His work has been presented at numerous group and solo exhibitions, including the Palais de Tokyo, Paris; Cold Wind From The Balkans, Pera Museum, Istanbul; Resilience, the 7th Triennial of Slovenian Contemporary Art, MSUM Ljubljana; The Event , 29th Biennial of Graphic Arts, Museum of Modern Art, Ljubljana; Cultural Hero, II Biennial of Quadrilateral/BQ_2, Museum of Contemporary Art, Rijeka; U3, 5th Triennial of Slovenian Contemporary Art, Moderna Galerija, Ljubljana; Essl Award Winners, Essl Museum, Vienna/Klosterneuburg. He has developed his work in residences at Residency Unlimited New York; the Israeli Digital Art Center, Holon; Flaxart Studios, Belfast; Cit. Internationale Universitaire de Paris, Paris and La Vitrine, Marseille.
